The Indian Journal of Gender Studies is a peer-reviewed journal. Its objective is to encourage and publish research, analysis and informed discussion on issues relating to gender. Often, contributions challenge existing social attitudes and academic biases that obstruct a holistic understanding of the role of the family, particularly of its women members, community and a wider polity. In recent years, the journal has focused on women in politics, violence as a phenomenon, disability, the social organization of the family, women’s livelihood matters, institutional, legal and policy questions, and motherhood and child care. Journal is included in the following abstracting and indexing databases: Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC), Bibliography of Asian Studies (BAS), SCOPUS, Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science), Social Services Abstracts – ProQuest, Studies on Women and Gender Abstracts and many more.
The Journal of Language and Sexuality aims to present research on the discursive formations of sexuality, including sexual desire, sexual identities, sexual politics and sexuality in diaspora. Of interest is linguistic work in the widest possible sense, including work in sociolinguistics, anthropological linguistics, pragmatics, semantics, discourse analysis, applied linguistics, and other modes of language-centered inquiry that will contribute to the investigation of discourses of sexuality and their linguistic and social consequences. This journal is peer reviewed and indexed in: CNKI Scholar ; Dimensions ; Glottolog ; IBR/IBZ ; Linguistics Abstracts Online ; Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) ; MLA International Bibliography ; Scopus
Amsterdam is well known for a few things. Firstly, it’s known as the cycling capital of Europe. Locals cycle everywhere – to work, on dates, to the shops and even home from nights out. Bikes have right of way in this amazing city, so keep an eye out for them and try not to get in the way. It’s easy to see the city by bike and there are loads of places where you can rent bicycles.
Everyone knows about Amsterdam’s coffee houses, where they sell a lot more than just hot drinks. There are a few really famous ones, but there is a great selection of coffee houses to visit and tourists flock from all over the world to smoke marijuana and relax with friends. It’s legal in Holland and it’s perfectly acceptable.
There are lots of coffee shops in Amsterdam and the distinct smell is everywhere. Beer is also excellent in Amsterdam. Holland is famous for its beer and there are many great bars to enjoy it in. Take a stroll along the canals, stop by one of the city’s famous museums, sit in a coffee shop and spend some time watching the world go by, hire a pedalo, enjoy some Dutch cuisine and check out the city’s vibrant nightlife.
